Sky High Car Audio P Series Full Range Speakers

Shop Sky High Car Audio P Series full range coaxial speakers for amplified doors, custom speaker panels, loud daily drivers and complete mids-and-highs systems. The P Series combines a high-output speaker cone with an integrated 1-inch bullet tweeter, helping reproduce strong vocals, instruments and high-frequency detail from one speaker location.

This collection includes 6.5-inch, 8-inch and 6x9 P Series speakers, giving builders several options for factory-style locations, custom doors, rear decks, speaker pods and larger fabricated panels.

These are higher-output coaxial loudspeakers intended for properly planned car audio systems. Match the speaker size, impedance, amplifier power, crossover settings and mounting requirements to the complete installation.

Sky High SH-P6 6.5-Inch Coaxial Speaker

The Sky High Car Audio SH-P6 6.5-inch P Series coaxial speaker provides higher-output coaxial performance in a practical 6.5-inch format.

The SH-P6 may be a strong option for:

  • Amplified front or rear doors
  • Custom speaker pods
  • Multiple-speaker door panels
  • Loud daily-driver systems
  • Front stages that need to keep up with upgraded bass
  • Builds with limited room for a separate speaker and tweeter

A nominal 6.5-inch size does not guarantee direct factory fitment. Verify the cutout diameter, mounting depth, bolt pattern, magnet clearance and factory grille clearance before ordering.

Sky High SH-P8 8-Inch Coaxial Speaker

The Sky High Car Audio SH-P8 8-inch P Series coaxial speaker provides additional cone area for larger custom doors, pods and front-stage systems.

The SH-P8 may make sense for:

  • Large custom door panels
  • Fabricated speaker pods
  • Show and demonstration vehicles
  • Loud mids-and-highs systems
  • Installations needing more output from each speaker location
  • Systems where a 6.5-inch speaker is not enough for the desired output

An 8-inch speaker normally requires more installation space than a common factory door speaker. Custom fabrication, a strong mounting baffle and careful clearance measurements may be required.

Sky High SH-P69 6x9 Coaxial Speaker

The Sky High Car Audio SH-P69 6x9 P Series coaxial speaker gives builders a higher-output P Series option in a larger oval format.

The SH-P69 may be a good fit for:

  • Amplified 6x9 factory locations
  • Rear decks and rear speaker panels
  • Custom doors using oval speakers
  • Fabricated speaker pods
  • Loud daily-driver systems
  • Front or rear stages requiring stronger musical output

Factory 6x9 openings can vary in depth, mounting pattern and surrounding clearance. An adapter, spacer or custom mounting panel may still be needed.

Integrated 1-Inch Bullet Tweeter

Each Sky High P Series speaker combines its main speaker cone with an integrated 1-inch bullet tweeter. This coaxial design allows one speaker assembly to reproduce both the main vocal range and high-frequency detail.

An integrated bullet tweeter can be useful when:

  • There is not enough room for a separate tweeter location.
  • You want a cleaner and simpler custom-door layout.
  • The system needs vocals and highs from the same speaker position.
  • A factory-style coaxial arrangement is preferred.
  • The mids and highs need to remain audible over a strong subwoofer system.

The bullet tweeter still requires clean amplifier power and proper crossover protection. Excessive gain, clipping or incorrect crossover settings can create harsh sound and damage the speaker.

Choosing Between 6.5-Inch, 8-Inch and 6x9 Speakers

The best P Series speaker is not automatically the largest option. Choose the model that fits the available space and matches the output goal of the system.

Choose the 6.5-Inch SH-P6 When:

  • The installation uses a common round 6.5-inch opening.
  • You are building a compact speaker pod.
  • You want several speakers in one custom door.
  • Available panel space is limited.
  • An 8-inch speaker will not fit safely.

Choose the 8-Inch SH-P8 When:

  • The installation has room for a larger round speaker.
  • You want more cone area from each speaker location.
  • You are building large custom doors or speaker pods.
  • The system needs stronger speaker output to balance upgraded bass.
  • Custom fabrication is already part of the build.

Choose the 6x9 SH-P69 When:

  • The vehicle already has a 6x9 speaker location.
  • An oval speaker better fits the available panel space.
  • You are upgrading an amplified rear deck.
  • You are building custom pods around a 6x9 opening.
  • You want a larger coaxial speaker without using an 8-inch round design.

Amplifier Power for Sky High P Series Speakers

Sky High P Series speakers should be matched to an amplifier using the RMS power rating, speaker impedance, number of speakers and final impedance connected to each channel.

Before selecting an amplifier, confirm:

  • The RMS rating of each speaker
  • The impedance of each speaker
  • How many speakers will be connected to each channel
  • Whether the speakers will be wired in series or parallel
  • The final impedance presented to the amplifier
  • The amplifier’s output at that impedance
  • The minimum impedance the amplifier can safely support

Connecting multiple speakers in parallel lowers the final impedance. Never connect an amplifier below its minimum stable load.

Browse 4-channel amplifiers for full range speakers or compare Sky High Car Audio amplifiers when planning power for a P Series speaker system.

Use Proper Crossover and Gain Settings

Sky High P Series coaxial speakers are not subwoofers. Asking them to reproduce deep bass can cause excessive cone movement, distortion, heat and possible speaker damage.

Use an appropriate high-pass crossover based on the exact speaker model, amplifier power, mounting location and desired listening level. Allow the subwoofer system to handle the lowest frequencies.

Amplifier gain should be used to match the amplifier input to the signal source. Gain is not a second volume control. Excessive gain can introduce clipping, harsh output and unnecessary heat even when the amplifier appears to be playing louder.

Plan the Installation Before Ordering

Check the complete installation area before selecting a P Series speaker. Advertised speaker size alone does not confirm vehicle fitment.

  • Speaker cutout diameter
  • Overall frame dimensions
  • Mounting depth
  • Magnet and basket clearance
  • Window-track clearance
  • Door-handle and locking-mechanism clearance
  • Mounting-hole pattern
  • Factory or custom grille clearance
  • Required spacer or baffle thickness
  • Speaker-wire routing

A strong speaker should be mounted to a solid panel or baffle. Thin, loose or flexible mounting surfaces can create vibration, rattles and lost output. Secure mounting, correct polarity, clean wiring and proper door treatment can make a major difference in the completed system.
