The E-Series lineup gives customers a budget-friendly way to wire anything from a smaller speaker amplifier to a stronger daily-driver subwoofer system. Choose the correct kit according to the amplifier’s current demand, recommended fuse protection, power-wire length and future plans for the system.
Every E-Series kit in this collection uses CCA power and ground wire. CCA stands for copper-clad aluminum. It must be sized according to its material and should not be treated as carrying current identically to the same gauge of OFC cable.

Sky High 8 Gauge CCA E-Series Amp Kit
The Sky High Car Audio 8 Gauge CCA E-Series amp kit is the smallest option in this collection. It is intended for lower-current amplifier installations where 8 gauge CCA wire is appropriate for the amplifier demand and cable length.
The 8 gauge E-Series kit includes:
- 16 feet of 8 gauge CCA power wire
- 2 feet of 8 gauge CCA ground wire
- 20 feet of 14 gauge speaker wire
- 18 feet of 16 gauge remote turn-on wire
- 18-foot OFC RCA cable with 90-degree ends
- HD Mini ANL fuse holder with a 75-amp fuse
- Zip ties, a rubber grommet and self-tapping screws
An 8 gauge kit may be suitable for a compact speaker amplifier, smaller subwoofer amplifier, entry-level bass upgrade or short power run with modest current demand. It should not be used for a large monoblock amplifier simply because the smaller cable is easier to route.
Sky High 4 Gauge CCA E-Series Amp Kit
The Sky High Car Audio 4 Gauge CCA E-Series amp kit provides more cable capacity than the 8 gauge version for moderate daily-driver amplifier systems.
The 4 gauge E-Series kit includes:
- 16 feet of 4 gauge CCA power wire
- 2 feet of 4 gauge CCA ground wire
- 20 feet of 14 gauge speaker wire
- 18 feet of 16 gauge remote turn-on wire
- 18-foot OFC RCA cable with 90-degree ends
- HD Mini ANL fuse holder with a 100-amp fuse
- Zip ties, a rubber grommet and self-tapping screws
A 4 gauge CCA kit may make sense for many moderate monoblock amplifiers, four-channel speaker amplifiers, single-subwoofer systems and daily-driver installations that need more capacity than an 8 gauge kit can provide.
Four gauge is not automatically correct for every amplifier. A longer cable run, higher current demand or future power upgrade may make the larger 1/0 gauge kit or an OFC wiring kit the better choice.
Sky High 1/0 Gauge CCA E-Series Amp Kit
The Sky High Car Audio 1/0 Gauge CCA E-Series amp kit is the largest wiring option in this collection. It provides a stronger main power-and-ground foundation for higher-current amplifiers and systems expected to grow.
The 1/0 gauge E-Series kit includes:
- 16 feet of 1/0 gauge CCA power wire
- 2 feet of 1/0 gauge CCA ground wire
- 20 feet of 12 gauge speaker wire
- 18 feet of 16 gauge remote turn-on wire
- 18-foot OFC RCA cable with 90-degree ends
- Set-screw ANL fuse holder with a 300-amp fuse
- Zip ties, a rubber grommet and self-tapping screws
A 1/0 gauge amp kit may be considered for larger monoblock amplifiers, stronger daily bass systems, longer power-wire runs, future amplifier upgrades or a main cable feeding a properly fused distribution block.
One/zero gauge CCA is not automatically sufficient for every high-power amplifier. Very large systems may require OFC cable, multiple cable runs, larger wire, additional batteries, upgraded alternator output or a custom electrical plan.
Choosing Between 8 Gauge, 4 Gauge and 1/0 Gauge
Do not choose an amp kit using peak or maximum amplifier wattage alone. The wiring must support the amplifier’s actual current requirements throughout the complete cable run.
Consider the 8 Gauge E-Series Kit When:
- The amplifier has relatively modest current demand.
- The battery-to-amplifier cable run is short.
- You are installing a smaller speaker amplifier.
- You are adding a compact entry-level subwoofer system.
- The amplifier manufacturer supports 8 gauge wiring for the installation.
Consider the 4 Gauge E-Series Kit When:
- An 8 gauge kit is too small for the planned amplifier.
- You are wiring a moderate monoblock amplifier.
- You are powering a stronger four-channel amplifier.
- You are building a daily single-subwoofer system.
- The current demand and cable length remain within the capacity of 4 gauge CCA.
Consider the 1/0 Gauge E-Series Kit When:
- You are installing a larger monoblock amplifier.
- The system has greater current demand.
- The power-wire run is longer.
- You expect to upgrade the amplifier later.
- The cable may feed a properly fused distribution block.
- You want a larger wiring foundation than 4 gauge CCA provides.
CCA vs OFC Amplifier Wiring
CCA and OFC are different conductor materials. Two cables carrying the same printed gauge do not necessarily have the same current capacity when one is CCA and the other is OFC.
CCA amp kits provide a more affordable option for appropriately sized daily-driver systems. They can work well when the cable gauge, run length, fuse protection and amplifier demand are planned correctly.
OFC generally offers lower resistance and greater current capacity than the same gauge of CCA cable. OFC may be the stronger direction for larger amplifiers, longer cable runs, high-current systems and installations likely to receive more power later.

What an Amplifier Wiring Kit Does
An amp kit connects the aftermarket amplifier to the vehicle’s electrical system, audio signal and connected speakers or subwoofers.
A typical amplifier installation requires:
- Power wire from the battery or electrical supply to the amplifier
- Ground wire connecting the amplifier to a proper grounding point
- Fuse protection near the power source
- RCA signal cable or another compatible signal connection
- Remote turn-on wire
- Speaker wire between the amplifier and the connected speakers or enclosure
- Secure terminals and protected cable routing
The exact parts needed can vary by vehicle and system. Multi-amplifier installations, additional batteries, factory-radio integration and unusually long cable routes may require more parts than those included with one standard amp kit.
Fuse Protection and Safe Cable Routing
The main power-wire fuse protects the cable if it becomes shorted or damaged. Install the fuse holder close to the battery or primary power source and keep the cable protected as it passes through the engine compartment, firewall and interior.
Use the included rubber grommet or another suitable protective method anywhere the wire passes through metal. Keep wiring away from:
- Exhaust components and engine heat
- Sharp metal edges
- Steering and pedal assemblies
- Seat tracks
- Window mechanisms
- Moving suspension or drivetrain components
- Locations where passengers or cargo can damage the cable
The fuse included with a kit does not automatically make the kit correct for every amplifier. Confirm the amplifier manufacturer’s recommended wire size and fuse requirements before completing the installation.
Build a Dependable Amplifier Ground
The amplifier ground is just as important as the positive power connection. A poor ground can contribute to voltage drop, heat, weak output, distortion, noise and amplifier protect mode.
Use a short ground cable connected to a strong vehicle-grounding point. Remove paint, coating and contamination from the contact area, secure the terminal tightly and protect the completed connection from corrosion.
The ground wire should normally match the size and material of the primary power wire. A large positive cable connected to an undersized or poorly prepared ground still creates a restricted electrical path.
Amp Kits and Big 3 Kits Perform Different Jobs
An amplifier wiring kit carries power from the battery or electrical supply to the amplifier. A Big 3 kit strengthens important charging and grounding connections under the hood.

A Big 3 upgrade does not increase the alternator’s rated output. Systems with substantial amplifier demand may still require additional battery capacity, a high-output alternator or other electrical support.
