The Sky High Car Audio BMX Series 18" Subwoofer is the top of the BMX line for cone area and output—built for walls, big demo vehicles, and competition-leaning systems where you want brutal low end with real control. The BMX platform is a high-excursion, true-to-size subwoofer built around a 3" 8-layer high-temperature voice coil and rated at 2500W RMS of clean musical power, with a motor and coil combo capable of handling extreme burst power when the system is designed correctly.

At its core, the BMX 18 uses a triple-stacked Y35 ferrite motor structure with an aluminum shorting ring, pole vents, and four drilled and tapped backplate holes. This design improves cooling, reduces inductive distortion, and gives serious builders options for reinforced mounting or external cooling plates in extreme SPL or demo builds.

Mechanically, the 12", 15", and 18" BMX subwoofers all share the same long-throw suspension with about 32mm of one-way Xmax and roughly 39mm Xmech, backed by a 10" stacked spider pack that’s spaced for durability and linear control at high excursion. Under the cone, a fiberglass-reinforced cone support sits beneath a hardened paper cone with a tooled recess for the standard carbon-style dust cap, keeping the moving assembly rigid and reducing cone flex during peak output.

Oversized push terminals accept heavy-gauge wire, and the tooled SHCA magnet boot finishes the motor with a clean, all-black look that fits right into show builds and clean demo installs.

Available in dual 1 ohm (D1) and dual 2 ohm (D2), the BMX 18 makes it easy to design low-impedance, high-power systems on big monoblocks—perfect for multi-sub walls, blow-throughs, and extreme daily setups that still play music, not just burps.
