Sky High Car Audio FXB 2600.4 Compact 4-Channel Amplifier
Sold by AudioSellerz.com
The Sky High Car Audio FXB 2600.4 Compact 4-Channel Amplifier delivers serious full-range power for mids, midbass speakers, compression drivers, horns, and other high-output speaker systems without requiring a large amplifier rack.
At 14.4 volts, the FXB 2600.4 produces 650 watts RMS per channel at 2 ohms or 425 watts RMS per channel at 4 ohms. When more power into fewer loads is needed, the amplifier can be bridged to produce 1,350 watts RMS per bridged channel at 4 ohms.
All of that power is packed into a compact chassis measuring only 5.9 inches wide, 8.35 inches long, and 2.1 inches tall. That makes the FXB 2600.4 a strong option for car and truck audio, motorcycle audio, powersports systems, behind-seat installations, under-seat installations, stealth builds, and other applications where mounting space is limited.

FXB 2600.4 Power Ratings at 14.4 Volts
| Configuration | RMS output |
|---|---|
| Four channels at 2 ohms | 650 watts RMS × 4 |
| Four channels at 4 ohms | 425 watts RMS × 4 |
| Bridged at 4 ohms | 1,350 watts RMS per bridged channel |
| Combined output at 2 ohms | 2,600 watts RMS |
| Minimum impedance per channel | 2 ohms |
| Minimum bridged impedance | 4 ohms |
Published power ratings are measured at 14.4 volts. Actual output depends on system voltage, final impedance, input signal, wiring, installation, tuning, speaker load, and available charging current.
Four Powerful Full-Range Channels
The FXB 2600.4 can power four independent speaker channels while delivering substantially more output than a basic door-speaker amplifier. Its 10 Hz–25 kHz published frequency response allows it to operate as a full-range amplifier for several different system layouts.
Possible applications include:
- Four high-power midrange or full-range speakers
- Multiple speakers wired to a safe 2-ohm load on each channel
- Separate channels for mids, midbass drivers, compression drivers, or horns
- High-output motorcycle and powersports speaker systems
- Modern vehicle upgrades where amplifier space is limited
- A combination of independent and bridged channels
- Two bridged 4-ohm loads requiring substantially more power
The correct system layout depends on the speakers’ RMS ratings, impedance, frequency range, crossover requirements, and the number of speakers connected to each channel.
Flexible Bridged Configuration
The FXB 2600.4 is fully bridgeable at 4 ohms. Bridging combines a pair of amplifier channels to produce up to 1,350 watts RMS into a compatible 4-ohm load.
The amplifier may be configured with:
- Four individual channels
- One bridged channel with the remaining channels operating independently
- Two bridged channels
Do not bridge the amplifier into a load below 4 ohms. Each individual channel has a 2-ohm minimum impedance, while each bridged channel requires a minimum 4-ohm load.
Compact Design for Tight Installations
The FXB 2600.4 measures only 5.9 × 8.35 × 2.1 inches. Its compact size gives builders more mounting flexibility in vehicles where a traditional high-power four-channel amplifier may be difficult to install.
Before ordering, measure the intended mounting location and leave room for:
- Power and ground connections
- Speaker-wire connections
- RCA cables and input controls
- Adjustment of gain and crossover settings
- Secure mounting hardware
- Airflow around the amplifier
- Proper operation of the internal cooling fan
A compact amplifier still needs adequate ventilation. Do not bury the amplifier beneath carpet, insulation, upholstery, or other materials that can trap heat or obstruct the cooling system.

Speaker and Impedance Matching
This amplifier makes enough power to damage speakers quickly if the system is wired or tuned incorrectly. Confirm the RMS power handling and impedance of every connected speaker before applying power.
When multiple speakers are connected to one channel, calculate the final impedance seen by that channel. Do not assume the impedance remains the same when speakers are wired together.
For individual-channel operation:
- Each channel must remain at 2 ohms or higher.
- At 2 ohms, each channel can produce up to 650 watts RMS.
- At 4 ohms, each channel can produce up to 425 watts RMS.
For bridged operation:
- Each bridged channel must remain at 4 ohms or higher.
- Each bridged channel can produce up to 1,350 watts RMS at 4 ohms.
- Confirm the correct bridged terminals before connecting the speakers.
Crossover and Speaker Protection
The adjustable high-pass and low-pass crossovers allow the amplifier to be configured for different full-range speaker applications. Correct crossover settings are critical when using this much power.
Smaller speakers, tweeters, horns, and compression drivers should never be allowed to reproduce frequencies below their safe operating range. Midrange and midbass speakers also require crossover settings appropriate for their size, installation, RMS rating, and intended use.
Use the Audio Sellerz speaker crossover and tuning guide to learn how high-pass filters, low-pass filters, gain, and equalization work together.
Gain Setting and Clipping
The FXB 2600.4 includes an onboard clipping indicator to help during setup and system monitoring. However, the indicator does not prove that the signal entering the amplifier is clean.
Clipping may begin at the radio, line-output converter, equalizer, or digital signal processor before it reaches the amplifier. Set the entire signal chain correctly and begin with heavy EQ boosts turned off.
Gain is not a volume control. It should be adjusted to match the amplifier to the clean output voltage of the source unit or processor.
For additional help, read our guide explaining how to set amplifier gain without damaging your equipment.
Wiring and Electrical Support
The FXB 2600.4 has a published 150-amp fuse rating. Use true-spec power and ground cable, a quality fuse holder, properly crimped terminals, and secure high-current connections.
The main power wire should be fused near the battery. Keep the amplifier ground short and connect it securely to clean bare metal or another verified grounding point.
Sky High does not publish the amplifier’s power-terminal wire capacity on the current product page. Verify the terminal size before purchasing an amplifier kit specifically for this model.
Browse available car audio amplifier wiring kits or shop power wire, ground wire, speaker wire, and installation accessories.
Electrical requirements depend on the total system power, listening habits, vehicle, cable length, system voltage, battery capacity, alternator output, and the other equipment in the build. If voltage falls heavily under load, inspect and upgrade the electrical system instead of increasing amplifier gain.
