This alternator is hand-built, bench tested, and shipped after production is complete. Average build time is typically 2-4 weeks before shipment. Because each alternator is built to order for your vehicle and application, it does not ship immediately after purchase.

Please make sure all vehicle information, amperage options, plug type, and any custom options are selected correctly before placing your order.

If you need a stronger charging upgrade for your Dodge, Chrysler, or Jeep 1.8L, 2.0L, or 2.4L setup, this Brand X high output alternator is built to deliver the extra current needed for car audio, added accessories, and higher electrical demand. This alternator fits Jeep Patriot, Dodge Avenger, Dodge Journey, and Dodge Caliber applications that use the J mount style alternator.

This alternator is available in 180 amp, 240 amp, 270 amp, and 325 amp versions so you can choose the output that best matches your build. Idle output is rated at 170+ amps at 800+ rpm, giving you strong real-world charging performance for daily driving and upgraded electrical systems.

This is the J mount style alternator, not the T mount style used in newer Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge applications. It is important to verify fitment before ordering so you get the correct mounting style for your vehicle.

Important Installation Notice
A Big 3 upgrade is required when installing a high output alternator. Factory wiring is not designed to support the increased current demand of a high amp alternator or heavy duty alternator upgrade. Failing to upgrade the charging and ground wiring can create excessive heat, voltage drop, and alternator damage, including rectifier failure. Damage caused by improper wiring or failure to complete the Big 3 upgrade is not covered.
