The Sky High Car Audio FE Slim Series 12" Subwoofer (FE-12SL) is a true shallow-mount 12 inch woofer built for tight installs that still deserve real bass. With only 4.01" (101mm) mounting depth, a 2" dual voice coil rated at 300W RMS, and an underhung ferrite motor, this FE-SL 12 is ideal for trucks, SUVs, slim trunk boxes, and behind/under-seat enclosures where normal 12s just won’t fit—but you still want real low-end output.

The FE-12SL uses a 61oz underhung ferrite motor, 7.4" (188mm) spider, and 11mm Xmax (one-way) to give this shallow 12 inch real excursion and control. That means you get tight, musical bass with enough cone travel to feel the low notes, not just hear them. It’s tuned for daily driving—great with moderate power on a clean 300W RMS amp channel, or as part of a multi-sub shallow setup in space-limited builds.

Like the rest of the FE-SL (Slim Line) lineup, the FE-12SL is not an off-the-shelf shallow woofer. Sky High designed an all-new tooled shallow basket and underhung motor geometry specifically for low-depth applications, keeping mounting depth down without giving up motor strength or mechanical control. A tall-profile gasket and a custom spider spacer ring with venting help prevent surround rub in tight boxes and allow for a larger spider than most budget shallows, improving control and reliability over time.

Sewn, silicone-coated tinsel leads are routed cleanly through the frame and finished with Sky High-branded red/black heat shrink into true push terminals—a big upgrade over the spring clips and tiny tabs found on many shallow subs in this price range. An oversized lightweight dustcap helps keep moving mass down and efficiency up, making the FE-SL line easy to power on realistic daily amps.

All FE-SL models (8", 10", and 12") share a uniform basket and dustcap design, giving your build a clean, consistent look whether you’re running one FE-12SL or mixing sizes in a custom layout. The FE Slim Series is available in both dual 2 ohm (D2) and dual 4 ohm (D4) configurations to make system planning and impedance matching simple.

Just like the original FE line, every FE-SL subwoofer is tested using DATS-LA with specs taken after full mechanical break-in and off-surface backplate positioning—meaning the performance data comes from real-world conditions, not inflated catalog numbers.
